Studying English

When I decided to study Transkulturelle Kommunikation in the year of 2011 I thought doing so won’t be challenging. I thought my language skills were good enough. After taking the entrance exam in English, though, I knew this won’t be just a piece of cake. I didn’t even pass the exam the first time I took it.
However, the first semester started and I enjoyed studying my second foreign language more and more. To keep up and improve my English I attended language courses and did a good job… but let’s skip my first year of studies.
Since I managed to pass the entrance exam in English I could finally attend the course Sprache und Kultur 1 and I still though this is going to be manageable. When I had my first PC, though, I learned that it wasn’t. My Grammar and Vocab part was so so bad. My Writing part was kind of good (4+) but it didn’t help me pass this exam. The second exam was better but still not good enough (57%). My writing part again was positive and my vocab and grammar part just horrible. After scoring just 58 or 59% on my last PC, I didn’t manage passing the course. Due to new regulations, though, I could attend the course Sprache und Kultur 2. After having a disappointing semester, I didn’t pass this course either.
After spending one month in Canada, I felt like I could finally manage to pass this course. I even passed PC 2 and PC 3… buuut.. Since my first PC was so bad, I didn’t pass the course. Now I’m in the second semester again and still don’t know whether I can pass this course or not.

Summing up, I learned that my language level just wasn’t high enough when I first started studying English.. My English has improved a lot since then. Still, I don’t know whether I can pass this course..
